Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs)

Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) are negotiated agreements between the Deer Park Teaching Assistants & Teacher Aides Association and the Deer Park Union Free School District that modify, clarify, or supplement specific provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Members should review all applicable MOAs in conjunction with the current contract, as they become part of the negotiated terms and conditions of employment.

Important Reminder: In accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Teaching Assistants and 6-hour Teacher Aides taking a half-day sick or personal leave are not entitled to a lunch period. However, they are entitled to one paid 20-minute break during their half-day assignment. Please refer to the Memorandum of Agreement for the approved half-day schedules and additional details.
